Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate contacts and responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain logs, and communicate observations to leadership and site management.
