Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed role in Sparks, NV. This position offers flexible, anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up additional hours through the scheduling platform, supporting a path toward full-time employment within the industry leader.

Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, incident response, and reporting while providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and the public.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, check credentials, maintain visitor logs, and provide directions or assistance per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and emergency responders as appropriate.
