Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Licensed Patrol Steward in Bronx, NY to monitor shelter locations, deter incidents, and provide compassionate service to residents and staff. You will perform unarmed patrols, control access, and maintain clear logs.

This role offers flexible daytime shifts, a neighborhood-focused team, and opportunities to learn new duties via the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Background investigation required in accordance with applicable laws.
• Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and resident concerns in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner and follow reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry requirements, deter unauthorized access.
• Prepare clear activity logs and incident reports and communicate information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
