Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Residential Complex in Bronx, NY. The role pays $18.58 per hour and offers flexible DayTime shifts, with a schedule that work for you through our Shift platform.

You will provide customer service to residents and staff, patrol assigned areas, monitor access points, document incidents, and report concerns. A background check and drug screen apply; a high school diploma is required, and at least one year of security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will undergo a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the shelter location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal reporting procedures.
