Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Ashburn, VA to patrol and protect a commercial property. You will provide excellent customer service, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents.

The role offers a flexible schedule with night shifts, opportunities to learn from experienced teams, and access to our shift-claim platform. A high school diploma and background screening are part of the process; previous badge or access-control

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A background check will be performed as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff while enforcing site policies.
• Conduct regular patrols of interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and incident details.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; communicate with site contacts and responders as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns and security observations promptly.
