Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol Communications) in Durham, NC. You will monitor and safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and premises in a healthcare setting, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

Pay is $20.46 per hour with Thursday and Friday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shifts. A high school diploma, age 21+, and a background check with drug screening are required; driving positions may require a valid license.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and document activities per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of hospital buildings, care areas, parking facilities, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor management and provide directions or escorts as assigned.
• Complete required reports and communicate observations to site leadership.
