Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Rockville, MD. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts across multiple sites to increase earnings.

You will handle front desk duties, visitor management, and access control while ensuring a safe environment for government locations. The position requires security-related and healthcare/medical experience, plus the ability to respond to incidents

Qualifications

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.
A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by following site-specific procedures and security policies at a government location.
Operate the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying IDs, issuing visitor credentials, and directing to offices or services.
Monitor entry activity, logs, cameras, alarms, and other security systems, reporting unusual activity per site procedures.
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations calmly and document actions.
Maintain daily activity reports, visitor records, and incident documentation for site contacts and leadership.
