Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Saint Joseph, MO to provide customer service and safeguard clients across production sites. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to alarms while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and support a welcoming environment.

The role offers flexible scheduling with day-night shifts and opportunities to use exclusive tools to claim additional shifts, enhancing earnings potential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers at a food production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, shipping and receiving areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Document patrols, access activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in accurate reports and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
