Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in Watsonville, CA. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick-up additional shifts to increase earnings, designed for reliable hours at an assigned site.

Responsibilities include access control, visitor management, and incident response to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Minimum requirements cover a year of security experience, high school diploma, and eligibility for a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out access‑control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify authorization according to hospital procedures, and direct visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying hospital personnel and emergency responders as required.
• Maintain awareness of restricted areas and deter unauthorized access while supporting a welcoming healthcare environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter; environments may vary by location.
