Job summary

Allied Universal in El Monte, CA is hiring a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time. This role features fixed shifts (Anchor Shifts) with a six-month commitment and an option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You’ll provide customer service at a financial site, handle security procedures, respond to incidents, conduct patrols, and keep logs. A minimum of 2 years in security and a high school diploma are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• A drug screen may be required prior to employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting issues to site leadership.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation per Allied Universal and site requirements.
