Allied Universal in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor areas, assist employees and visitors, and uphold site policies while delivering courteous security services.

The role offers flexible Day and Night shifts, on-site work, and opportunities to advance through training and a broad benefits program. You must meet minimum requirements and pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior work areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and public agencies, when needed, and providing timely documentation of security-related activities.
