Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in New York, NY to provide dependable, flexible hours and support for a telecommunications and technology site. The role offers a fixed shift with opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate ranges from $21.05 to $22.05 per hour, with a schedule that includes daytime hours. This position suits individuals seeking part-time income, stability, and room to grow toward a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed positions).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a telecommunications and technology location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying authorization and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site policy.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and/or other security‑related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
