Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a part-time Security Officer Educational Facility Part Time Patrol Accountability to provide reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site and help support a safe campus environment.

You will engage with students, faculty, staff and guests, perform patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and complete reports while benefiting from training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports and maintain professional interactions while supporting a welcoming educational environment.
