Allied Universal® is the North America’s leading security and facility services company. Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in San Pedro, CA to provide reliable security with flexible hours and the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will monitor entry points, enforce site policies, respond to incidents, and deliver customer service at a logistics site. Earn $20/hr with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a logistics and distribution location.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, issue access credentials as authorized, and communicate access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
