Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Los Angeles, CA. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings. Pay rate is $20.50 per hour, with daytime hours and a six-month anchor shift commitment.

The position emphasizes customer service, incident response, and routine patrols at a financial institution, with opportunities to grow into full-time hours while maintaining flexibility.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, following site procedures for reporting suspicious behavior, facility issues, and policy violations.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate security-related observations, incidents, and operational concerns to appropriate personnel.
