Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Enhanced in Elkridge, MD. The role offers flexible fixed shifts and optional extra shifts to increase earnings. Pay rate is $19.61 per hour, with daytime and night shifts.

Candidates will provide security, monitor access, respond to incidents, and support a range of safety procedures. A background check and drug screen are required; drivers license only for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screenings may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply; valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery verification in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
