Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, screening protocols, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering designated areas according to established procedures, verify access requirements, and communicate screening concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Assist with maintaining orderly access points by providing directions, answering questions, and helping to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter when assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
