Job summary

Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed to provide reliable security and responsive customer service at a financial institution. You will work a fixed day schedule with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our platform.

The role offers a base hourly pay of $22.60, a six-month anchor shift commitment, and paths to full‑time roles through paid training, with benefits including medical and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws; may be required.
• A valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution, carrying out security procedures and following site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking facilities, ATM locations, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports; communicate with site representatives, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
