This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position in Central, SC provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay rate is $17.00 per hour with a fixed shift anchor and the option to claim extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect access credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas, coordinate with authorized site contacts, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions, access-control concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
