Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time at our Birmingham, AL site. This role provides reliable, flexible hours and opportunities to build a steady part-time schedule with potential to grow into more shifts.

You will perform access-control tasks, respond to incidents, and deliver customer service to tenants and staff, while following site procedures and reporting requirements. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, patients, and staff by following site procedures and access-control practices.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the medical office building, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and reporting-oriented manner.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with directions and inquiries, reporting suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
