Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, offers a part-time enhanced Security Officer role with a fixed anchor shift and a flexible earn-more program. Pay rate is $23.11 per hour and includes the option to pick up extra shifts across sites.

The role emphasizes customer service to employees and visitors, unarmed patrols, access control, and incident reporting. A background check and drug screen are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining an orderly flow of authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
