Allied Universal® in Tampa, FL is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced. This flexible, dependable role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The position supports healthcare purchasing and distribution locations and offers daytime shift from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a Guard Card/License if available, and are 18+ (21+ for armed positions).

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while supporting security‑related screening procedures at a healthcare purchasing and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site‑specific policies.
• Inspect bags, packages, and other items and report prohibited or suspicious items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally per emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and report observations.
