Allied Universal offers a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Patrol Readiness position in Tampa, FL. This role provides fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our Earn More scheduling program.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a healthcare treatment location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and client activity in accordance with facility policies, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to designated personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
