Allied Universal in Monroe, MI is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable access-control and customer service at a designated site. This role offers flexible, fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, boosting earnings.

Ideal candidates will have a valid driver's license, be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Customer service orientation for a security role.
Experience with access-control procedures preferred.
Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility services location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access‑related logs and records.
Respond to access‑control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access requests, suspicious activity, facility concerns, and incident documentation.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
