Job summary

Allied Universal, headquartered in North America, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Desk in Lansing, MI. This role offers fixed shifts with a six-month commitment and the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings through our scheduling platform.

The position pays $19.00 per hour with daytime hours (Wed 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) and a focus on customer service, access control, and incident response within the site.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned healthcare locations, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify irregular conditions.
• Assist with directing visitors and staff, providing clear information, and maintaining a professional presence at assigned posts.
