Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Access Intercom in Chantilly, VA. This role provides reliable hours at a designated site with the option to pick up extra shifts using our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $20.50 per hour. The position offers fixed shifts (anchor shifts) and the ability to earn more through additional shifts, with potential to scale toward full‑time hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations and may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations with calm, and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear activity, incident, and patrol reports with a professional presence.
