Allied Universal in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Biometric Access Control to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

The schedule features fixed anchor shifts Wednesday and Thursday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, with the Earn-A-Shift program allowing part‑time hours now and potential full‑time hours later, while delivering strong access control and

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Guard card/license preferred.
Access control/badge experience preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Control access for deliveries, shipments, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
