Job summary

Allied Universal in Northampton, PA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable security coverage at a designated site. The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities to earn more through extra shifts, and pathways to full‑time roles within the industry leader.

Pay rate is $18.03 per hour. Responsibilities include welcoming visitors, monitoring access points, performing patrols, and upholding safety procedures while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access‑control records in accordance with site policies.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles, deliveries, and personnel, following established procedures for truck traffic, loading areas, and restricted locations.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
