Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Screening in Monroe, MI. This role offers fixed shifts with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide access-control, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents, with a pay rate of $16.40 per hour. This position supports part-time hours, with potential to grow toward full-time as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points at a utility services location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor and contractor access records.
• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including access points and perimeter locations, to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, incidents, and security‑related concerns.
