Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Ashburn, VA to provide dependable coverage at a designated site. Earn $23.11 per hour with fixed shifts and optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

This role emphasizes customer service, security procedures, and incident reporting in a fast-paced technology environment. Must be 18+ (21+ for armed), have a high school diploma, and be able to lift 20+ lbs.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law; employment subject to drug screen.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology and media location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, documenting observations and notifying contacts.
• Prepare activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff information.
