Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government research location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access to assigned areas by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and documenting visitor activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information during shift changes.
