Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Enhanced Driver Patrol in Fairfax, VA. The role offers fixed shifts with optional extra shifts via the Earn-A-Shift program, designed for flexible hours and earnings growth.

Pay rate is $18.22 per hour. Responsibilities include patrolling, access control, incident response, and customer service for employees, contractors, and visitors, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted and employment is subject to laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access, verify authorization, and maintain visitor/vehicle/incident records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and coordinate with site contacts and responders.
• Help maintain an orderly environment at utility operations by reporting security-related concerns.
