Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver in Boaz, AL. This role offers fixed shifts and the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts via the scheduling platform.

The position pays $12.00 per hour on Saturdays and Sundays, with a six-month anchor shift commitment. Responsibilities include access control, visitor management, incident response, and daily reporting at the site.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing location by verifying identification, checking visitor and contractor credentials, issuing access badges as authorized, and maintaining accurate entry records.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and potential policy concerns.
• Support a professional, orderly environment by directing visitors, following vehicle and delivery procedures, and documenting daily activities, incidents, and shift information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
