Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Entry Control in Deerfield Beach, FL. You will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, log visitors, and monitor access at a residential community, helping deter unauthorized activity with visible patrols and clear communication.

The role offers part-time shifts with pay at $17.00 per hour, training, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Minimum two years of security-related experience.
Background checks and drug screening per policy and law.
Guard card/licence preferred.
Must be 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Operate access control at entry points by verifying identification and/or resident authorization, managing visitor and vendor check-in, and maintaining accurate access logs.
Monitor alarms, cameras, intercoms, and gate or door systems as assigned, and report unusual activity to help deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and communicating with onsite management and emergency services when directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and documenting observations per post orders.
