Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Mayfield Heights, OH. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service to patients, visitors and staff, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner. Minimum requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license for

Qualifications

• Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific policies, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security‑related activities.
