Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Driver Credential Validation in Gastonia, NC. This flexible, part-time role offers stable hours and opportunities to grow into a full-time security career with the industry leader.

You will provide access-control, monitor entry points, and assist employees and visitors while complying with site procedures, CPR (preferred), and licensing requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required where applicable.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR certification, preferred.
• Hold a security license, preferred.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be state/local dependent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor registrations, and authorization for entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate access-control systems, maintain accurate visitor and contractor records, issue and collect temporary credentials, and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
