Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Readiness in Dorchester, MA. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, and maintain a professional presence to deter security incidents at a utilities location.

Join a dynamic team offering flexible scheduling with shifts Wed, Thu, Fri 2:00 PM–10:00 PM and a pay rate of $21.88 per hour. Training, shift-claiming tools, and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and support a controlled environment.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support compliance with site access, restricted-area, and emergency procedures while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
