Job summary

DK Security is seeking a part-time Uniformed Security Officer to protect client sites in Big Rapids, MI. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, situational awareness, and adherence to site post guidelines.

Compensation is $20.00 per hour with day shifts, and the position requires the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Responsibilities include guarding entry/exit points, patrols, IP checks, and reporting incidents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Armed security work requires Michigan CPL or LEOSA card (if applicable).
• Pass a drug screening at hire and random testing thereafter.
• Must be able to move quickly, endure 8–12 hour shifts, and work in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Guard posts at client entry/exit points and secure perimeters.
• Conduct foot/vehicle patrols to maintain a safe environment.
• Verify identifications for employees, vendors, and visitors.
• Deter crime and monitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards.
• Document daily activities and report incidents per site post guidelines.
