Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer in Indianapolis, IN to help safeguard clients and maintain a secure environment. The role includes screening, access control, responding to incidents, patrolling, and delivering excellent customer service on a scheduled evenings/weekend roster (Wed/Thu/Sun 2–10 PM).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check required by law.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing may be required depending on state/local laws.
18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and personal property in accordance with site procedures and applicable screening requirements.
Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections as assigned, reporting prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations through established channels.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated screening areas, facility access points, business operations, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
