Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part‑time position in Minneapolis, MN. You will serve clients across aerospace and defense locations, performing access control, patrols, and customer service while maintaining a secure environment.

Scheduling features include a flexible Part Time role and the Claim a Shift platform to optimize shifts. Pay rate is $26.01 per hour, with a typical DayTime schedule on weekends.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, restricted areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify entry authorization in accordance with site policies, maintaining awareness of restricted-area requirements and visitor procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and/or shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
