Job summary

Allied Universal in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Building Access Control). The role focuses on monitoring access, patrolling, and delivering excellent customer service in a cultural institution setting.

You will work Fri and Sat day shifts with pay at $23.25 per hour and be part of a team that values integrity, teamwork, and a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors with site-specific procedures and access-control practices.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor visitor activity and report unusual behavior or security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, clear communication.
• Maintain daily activity reports and communicate with site contacts and leadership.
