Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a part-time Security Officer for an industrial site in Sterling, IL. The role involves monitoring with CCTV and security rounds, access control, and reporting facility issues. Schedule is Thursday-Sunday, 11:00 pm–7:00 am, 32 hours per week, at $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to handle physical workload including stairs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening, including drug screen, motor vehicle report, and background investigation.
• A basic knowledge of computers.
• Driving a company vehicle is required. Must have a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
• A current or former PERC card holder preferred, but not required. We assist those that qualify.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules via CCTV and security rounds.
• Access control of visiting individuals and commercial inbound traffic.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Report any facility issues.
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.
• Other duties as assigned by the site security supervisor.
