Job summary

Long Beach City College is seeking a Part-Time Faculty member in Computer & Office Studies to teach Security and Networking. The assignment may occur at multiple campuses and online, with flexible hours to support diverse adult learners.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or an equivalent credential, demonstrate commitment to equity and student success, and be prepared to contribute to curriculum development and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in the discipline requirement.
• Associate degree and six years of experience in the discipline requirement.
• Hold a valid credential to teach in the discipline requirement.
• Meet equivalent qualifications established by the district AND appropriate certificate to practice or licensure or its equivalent, if available.
• Equivalent qualifications in lieu of the above if approved by the district.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to serving the needs of the student, department, college, and community.
• Collaboration across disciplines and utilization of student support resources.
• Participation in department, division, college committees, and participatory governance activities.
• Participation in curriculum and program development.
• Work collegially and collaboratively within the college community.
• Participation in ongoing professional development.
