Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Driving Security Officer in Roanoke, VA to protect clients in utilities and other sectors. This role emphasizes customer service, vigilance, and adherence to site policies while patrolling and responding to incidents.

The position offers weekend shifts with driving duties and requires a valid driverÕs license. You will join a large, community-minded security team committed to integrity and service, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license as per policy.
Background check required
Security experience or willingness to learn is preferred
Clean driving record and ability to use a computer/tablet
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be able to pass drug screen and licensing requirements

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and the public at a utilities location by following site policies and procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, ensuring security and deterring unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report concerns to site contacts.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations for reporting.
Complete activity, incident, and daily logs accurately according to procedures.
