Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and the public at a utilities location by following site policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, ensuring security and deterring unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations for reporting.
• Complete activity, incident, and daily logs accurately according to procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and members of the public at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report access concerns or unauthorized entry attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify emergency services and/or site contacts as directed.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
