Job summary

Allied Universal in Gibbstown, NJ is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Driver Patrol/Alarm Console). You will monitor a chemical/petrochemical site, provide customer service, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and flexible evening shifts. Paid at $18.63 per hour, this position offers part-time scheduling with opportunities for shift-based advancement and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs.
• Report hazards and suspicious activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
