Job summary

Rhinegeist Brewery in Cincinnati, OH is seeking part-time door staff/security to monitor the taproom and surrounding areas during afternoons and evenings. You will work as part of a team to keep guests, staff, and grounds safe while maintaining professional conduct in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities include patrolling, verifying IDs, escorting guests to parking, and addressing incidents as directed by the facility manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs for an extended period.
• Experience in the bar industry and checking IDs is preferred but not required.
• Weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to our taproom and ensure visitors and guests are safe leaving our facility.
• Maintain calm, helpful, and appropriate interactions in times of high stress.
• Observe buildings and grounds on foot. Ensure only authorized personnel are admitted onto non-public areas.
• Report safety and fire hazards observed on routine patrols and inspections and ensure capacity limits are observed.
• Escort visitors and employees to and from parking areas as needed.
• Check Identification of purchasing taproom guests to ensure proper drinking age is observed.
• Respond to, investigate, and problem solve routine complaints reported by taproom guests and employees; document incidents as directed by the facility manager.

Position Type: Part-Time

Taproom Hours: Monday-Thursday: 3pm - 11pm, Friday-Saturday: 12pm - 1am, Sunday: 12pm - 10pm.
