Job summary

Bennett Day School, Inc. is seeking an evening custodial team member to maintain cleanliness and safety across our campus in Chicago. The role requires routine cleaning, inventory handling, and reliable attendance, with work on evenings and potential weekend hours as needed.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down for events, reporting issues, and coordinating with the Director of Operations to support school activities in alignment with the school's progressive values.

Qualifications

• Prior commercial custodial experience preferred.
• Must manage time and inventory effectively.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Cooperative and team-oriented.
• Able to follow directions and maintain school standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform facilities custodial services ensuring adherence to school standards
• Cooperate with school management to ensure all work is accomplished in a timely manner
• Report any observed maintenance or repair issues
• Attend any meetings as requested
• Assist in the set up/breakdown for assemblies, meetings and events
• Store cleaning supplies and school-wide deliveries as needed
• Ensure that all activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Bennett Day School
• Custodial personnel perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and the administration.

Custodial personnel ensure the safety of Bennett Day School through the performance of general cleaning and maintenance of sanitary systems at all facilities including the building and grounds. The work is carried out under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Operations.

Job Hours:

• 6:00PM to 12:00AM
• Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday
• Additional Hours Available

Job Specifications:
