Job summary

Dollar Tree in Wylie, Texas seeks a team-oriented associate to assist with daily store functions and customer service. You will help customers, organize merchandise, and maintain seasonal areas while supporting opening/closing procedures and corporate directives.

Responsibilities include stocking, cashier duties, and loss prevention, plus helping manage payroll records, scheduling, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in store/retail environments preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked, organized, and clean.
• Protect company assets, including cash, and follow security procedures.
• Support the Store Manager in training and development of associates.
