This is a part-time position responsible for processing, packaging, and stocking seafood products according to Seafood Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. The role may include duties of a meat clerk when assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to participate in required training.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English, and effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers, using units of American money and weight measurement.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables.
• Completion of company training including food sanitation, safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and taste/smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a cool, humid environment with potential exposure to fumes, chemicals, and extreme cold. Noise level is moderate to loud. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
